The online bookings are only available for one time consultations and not for repeat or consecutive consultations.
Both step 1 and step 2 need to be completed successfully to secure a booking. Step 1 requires submission of identity related information whereas step 2 requires selection of a suitable timeslot and the upfront first-time consultation payment. Consultation fee: - R 570.00 (Incl VAT).
The one time booking is an obligation free consultation. Mandates will only be engaged in by agreement between the parties should the parties so elect. We are not obliged to accept any mandate subsequent to a consultation as the consultation is obligation free and no liability will arise between the parties as a result of any advice presented during any consultation.
The objective of the discounted consultations is to afford a prospective client an inexpensive mechanism to obtain cost-effective legal advice.
A consultation constitutes 30 minutes (or part thereof) and only timeslots from 09h00 to 15h00 on Fridays will be available for booking.
Booking confirmations will be sent to the provided email address. Please ensure that you provide us with a correct email address that you have access to.
Consultations may be conducted via MS Teams upon request and providing that the consultation booking is paid for and that the requested documents (during the booking process) is supplied and in order. We will supply the link for the consultation and send the invite to the provided email address during the consultation booking process. We cannot be held responsible for poor network service or connection issues during such consultation on either side: we are however on alternative electrical supply sources on our premises. Our terms of engagement remains the same as an in person consultations.
As a legal firm in South Africa we are required by law to know whom we are engaging with. Should you not want to submit any requested documentation, then you are requested not to book a consultation with us. Should you not upload the correct documentation, as requested, then we will cancel your booking and refund your booking fee paid to us less an administrative booking fee of R50.00 (incl VAT).
Should you accidentally upload incorrect documentation, then you are requested to send the correct documentation to onlinebookings@advocatelgmarx.com together with your booking reference within 24 hours of making the booking and having received confirmation of the booking (in order to prevent cancellation of the booking). You are reminded to check your spam box should you not receive confirmation of your booking as we cannot and do not accept liability for not receiving any booking confirmations as your email account management is not within our control.
that the information supplied on this online consultation booking is correct.
that my proof of residence is correct.
that the certified copy of my identity document, card or passport uploaded is a true certified copy thereof.
that I am of the age 18 or older.
that I have the necessary authority or capacity to act.
that I have access to the email address supplied for this booking.
that I agree to pay the consultation fees total as indicated under "Consultation fee" above.
that I will forfeit my booking allocated during the online booking process should my payment be unsuccessful.
that I have read the Privacy Policy, Website Disclaimer and Website Terms and Conditions of Use on Advocate Lionel G Marx's website and acknowledge the contents thereof and consider it to be binding on me as much as may be allowed in law. I also agree to peruse and aquaint myself with the contents of the afore stated provisions from time to time as I understand it could change due to prevailing circumstances.
that I am paying the R570.00 (VAT incl) consultation fee per 30 (thirty) minutes or part thereof with this online booking. I understand that should my payment in terms of the online consultation booking fee be rejected by my financial institution, that my booking will be declined and subsequently not be confirmed.
that Advocate Lionel G Marx will refund me my consulation booking fee in full less the R50.00 (incl VAT) administrative fee should my consultation booking be incomplete by not submitting the required information without further liability or obligation between me and Advocate Lionel G Marx.
that I must cancel my booking at least 7 (seven) days before my booked consultation date to receive a refund of my consultation booking fee less the R50.00 (incl VAT) administrative fee.
